SharePoint Pages and News are still the front door for internal communication—but the expectations have changed: faster creation, higher quality, better targeting, and cleaner lifecycle management. In this demo-first breakout, Mark Kashman and Andy Huneycutt show how to use Microsoft 365 Copilot capabilities in and around SharePoint to accelerate authoring and improve the end-to-end publishing process—without turning your intranet into an AI-generated mess.

We’ll approach the topic from two perspectives: The communicator’s assistant ・Drafting ・Rewriting ・Summarizing ・Repurposing ・and maintaining a consistent voice

The site owner’s guardrails ・Grounding content in the right sources ・Keeping permissions tidy ・and building lightweight curation workflows

We’ll also introduce a practical workflow for using knowledge/agent-style experiences to curate content, clean up drafts, and keep News relevant over time.

We’ve all heard the worse-case scenario of Copilot finding the CEOs bonus structure but not every scenario is as clear cut as this. Maybe it’s a version for a new policy placed in the wrong library with shared permissions or an employee discipline report in the wrong folder with open sharing. In this session we’ll run through 3 scenarios where permissions could lead to Copilot viewing and synthetizing information to the wrong user.

• What happens when a private team site is accidently created as public? • A site is set to open sharing leading to a policy in review being presented to a user before it is ready • How one document library with many folders with individual permissions can lead to sharing and misplacing documents

We’ll end reviewing some better practices around data governance and how best to protect your documents to ensure Copilot only picks up what you want it to and who it should be seen by.

Making M365 Reliable for AI: What to Monitor, Why it Breaks, and How to Fix It

Microsoft 365 is the backbone for modern knowledge work—and now the critical path for Copilot, RAG, and intelligent automation. Yet most organizations still monitor infrastructure signals and miss application‑level issues that actually derail user experience and AI outcomes. In this talk, I’ll share hard‑won patterns from the field and show how a service‑level assurance approach closes that gap across SharePoint, SharePoint Embedded, OneDrive, Teams, and Microsoft 365 Backup/Archive.

We’ll unpack what to measure (from page requests and search latency to anomalous user behavior), how to combine Azure-native telemetry with deeper, application‑aware tests, and when to automate remediation before users feel pain. I’ll also highlight emerging practices for Copilot observability and SharePoint Embedded scenarios, plus where AI techniques like dynamic thresholding improve signal‑to‑noise without black‑box risk. Expect pragmatic dashboards, playbooks you can copy, and a bias toward outcomes: fewer tickets, faster MTTR, safer content, and happier users.
